Intoroduction
According to our statistical survey,
there are about 100000 orphans and escaped childen across Nepal. Due to several reason children are escaping from home to
get better life. More than 5000 escaped children are living in capital
city.
There are a lot of reason to be orphanage and escape from home.
(a) Pilitical Reason : Nepal is suffering from civil
war since 1996. More than 11,500 people have been killed in the insurgency.
Due to this reason increase the ratio of orphan and escaped child.
(b) Social/Cultural Reason : In the case of an unmarried
girl with an unplanned pregnancy, society offers her no chance at redemption
unless her "secret" is kept permanently hidden from view.
This is a harsh injustice that the Birth Mother must swallow. She is
vilified and shamed, her child is labeled with cruel and hurtful names,
and all the while the father of the child quite often escapes responsibility
at all. Due to this people use to leave their child in hospital and
some where run a way to hide their mistake. There is no other option
either she leave the society or hide the things. 
(c) Economic Reason : People think child are the
good's blessing. Due to lack of education people are giving unnecessary
birth as a result they are suffering from two meal per day. Ultimately
their children use to come to city to get job and better life. Unfortunately,
there is no good job for them at last they have to go to street.
(d) Some others reasons like HIV/AIDS, starvation and flooding ect.,
Working in an Orphanage
An important help that volunteers provide to orphanage will be basic
English language teaching to children. Besides teaching, the orphanages
operate several creative programs like game, nutrition, and sanitation.
Orphanages welcome active participation in administrative works, health
education, games, and drawing and painting creativity with the children.
With your service to poor children, you will be changing the meaning
and perspective of life that these orphans will have as they reach adulthood.
The work is a great mission and provides a real life- changing experience
for you. Some orphanages are informal and basically serve as a informal
education training canters.
